PDF Editor

Edit the real content of your PDF

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.

About this tool

A full PDF editor that runs entirely in your browser. When you open a document, the tool automatically detects the text on each page and turns it into editable elements: double-click to change the content, move it or delete it. You can also add new text boxes, rectangles, ellipses, images and freehand drawings, resize and reorder every element, undo and redo, and finally download the edited PDF. Because everything happens locally, your file never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit text that the PDF already has?

Yes. When you open the PDF the text on each page is detected and you can double-click to edit it. On export the original text is masked with the background color and the new text is drawn.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. Detection, editing and export happen entirely in your browser. The PDF is never uploaded.

Why doesn't edited text always look identical to the original?

The editor uses the Helvetica font and approximates the position and background color. On documents with complex fonts or backgrounds the result may vary slightly.

Can I add images and shapes?

Yes. You can insert PNG or JPG images, rectangles, ellipses, freehand drawings and whiteout boxes to cover content.
